Projet Sorosoro

L’objet du programme Sorosoro est : 1- la documentation des langues en danger ; 2- et la sensibilisation du grand public aux questions relatives à la diversité linguistique. La concrétisation de ce travail est le site www.sorosoro.org, qui contient plus de 1000 pages de texte, plus de 100 vidéos, un planisphère interactif localisant 5500 langues, etc. Disponible en français, anglais et espagnol, il bénéficie d’une grande visibilité et d’une fréquentation internationale.

The purpose of the Sorosoro program is to 1- document endangered languages; 2- and to bring the issues related to this theme to the attention of the general public. Sorosoro teams’ work is shown on the website www.sorosoro.org, which offers over 1000 pages of text, over a hundred videos, an interactive world map with the location of 5,500 languages, etc. Its availability in three languages, French, English and Spanish, gives it a very high visibility and international attendance.

LABEX ASLAN is a partner of the WOLACO association (World Languages Conservancy), responsible for the program "Sorosoro, so that the languages ​​of the world live", since 2015. The website www.sorosoro.org has been completely restructured, Attendance at the site ranges from 35,000 to 40,000 visits per month worldwide and the YouTube channel SorosoroTV approaches 2 million views for all uploaded videos.
